How did you acquire this outfit? My mother's wedding dress from 1984.
Why is this your favorite go-to outfit? For Good Luck, one of my BFF's and home-town heroes, hand dyed and customized my mother's wedding gown, repurposing and turning it into a special occasion top that I can wear with just about anything on the bottom. It now hangs in my closet where I look at it daily as opposed to being preserved and stored away in a box buried in the basement.
Any other comments? My Parent's Love Story...
Gary and Nancy were introduced on a blind date in late November of 1982. They went to a concert with friends to see Arlo Guthrie. On December 18th they attended Gary's company Christmas party together and a year later to the day they were engaged. Six months and twelve days after that they wed and will celebrate their 37th Anniversary in June.
Now THAT is a beautiful garment with a beautiful story. We love that mom’s wedding dress has turned into a wearable top for the next generation that is exceptionally unique. Life is a special occasion and you absolutely can wear your special occasion clothes any day you want to. You know that you have the right clothes for you when you can look at them joyfully everyday.
